A silicone putty gun is a tool used to apply silicone sealant, also called silicone putty. This putty is very popular for sealing joints, gaps and expansion gaps in various construction and renovation projects. The silicone putty gun allows precise and even application of the silicone sealant. The silicone putty gun is used by inserting the silicone sealant cartridge into the gun, then squeezing the trigger evenly to push the silicone out of the cartridge. Before use, the top of the cartridge is usually cut off to get the desired size and shape of the outlet hole, which allows for precise application. Most silicone putty guns have a flow control setting to control the amount of sealant applied. By adjusting the settings, different seal thicknesses can be achieved.
