Steps to make a woven basket
1. Preparing the materials
Start by gathering all necessary materials. Choose long, flexible branches and soak them overnight in water to increase their pliability.

2. Creating the base

3. Preparing the branches
Trim the branches to the appropriate length with shears, and smooth rough edges with sandpaper or a sander.

4. Weaving the basket
Start weaving the branches around the vertical wire supports from the bottom upward. Ensure the branches are evenly spaced for a neat look. Weave in a zigzag pattern between the supports, alternating the direction of each row.

5. Finishing the weaving
When you reach the top, secure the upper edge of the basket with thinner wire. Weave the wire between the top two rows to reinforce the basket. Trim excess wire with wire cutters.
