Masonry and construction tools part 2 – anchor, level, insulation knife, and drywall saw

Specific tools are required to carry out construction tasks with quality. In this blog, we focus on the use of masonry anchors, levels, insulation knives, and drywall saws.
Masonry anchor
A masonry anchor, also known as a concrete anchor or anchor bolt, is a building element used for fastening or connecting various structural components to concrete or masonry surfaces. Anchors are often used to secure or support heavier objects. It's essential to install these anchors correctly to ensure their strength and reliability over time.
Masonry level
The masonry level is primarily used when laying bricks, blocks, or other building materials to ensure a flat and horizontal surface.
Insulation knife
An insulation knife is used for precise cutting of insulation materials such as foam, styrofoam, mineral wool, glass wool, and other insulation materials used for insulating walls, ceilings, and floors. Proper use of this tool allows insulation to be precisely adapted to the shape and size of the surface. The knife has a double-sided long blade, suitable for cutting thick insulation materials. One side is serrated, while the other is scalloped.
Drywall saw
A drywall saw is used for cutting plasterboard, plywood, and plastic. Drywall is commonly used in construction and renovation projects to create walls and ceilings. To ensure precise and clean cuts in drywall, a drywall saw is used. The saw has dual-pitched teeth and cuts in both directions—on the push and pull. The blade is tapered for easier penetration through drywall and other boards.
